FEIS MUSIC SPEEDS

As and from April 1st 2006, the following Grade speeds will be played at all registered Feiseanna throughout Ireland. This will be on a trial basis with a view to introducing them globally at a later date.

The Ard grad speeds are as per An Coimisiun publication 2006. A maximum deviation og +/- 1 point wull be permitted. The minimum Set Dance speeds listed below are also as per An Coimisiun publication 2006 for Oireachtas na Cruinne.

Ceile Dancing:

In all ceili competitions the music speeds will normally be at the discretion of the musicians. However, a team may request a particular speed if it so wishes by indicating  this to the stage steward in advance of the competition.
