Australian Championships 2110

Any adjudicator wishing to put their name forward to judge this event can get the appropriate form on the Coimisiun website.

Grading Rules:

Some time back I sent you all emails notifying you of the grading up rules which come into effect from January 1st 2009.

1. For those copetitions where grading occurs, modify the number of dancers that progress to the next grade based on the numbers in a competition as follows.

a. Less than or equal to 20 >>> 1 dancer grades up b. 21 - 40 >>> 2 dancers grade up c. Greater than or equal to 40 >>> 3 dancers grade up.

There will be no change to the above rule 1:

I have been informed by An Comhairle, however, that there is an amendment to rule 2: which states that

Rule 2 Each child grading up must receive a prize of the same standard as the winner and exceeding that of the dancers in the other places.

I have been asked by An Comhairle to inform all feis organisers that though the dancers have graded up they haven't won therefore they do not get the same prize as the winner or a prize of equal value.

Should you have any queries please do not hesitate to contact me.

Mary Honan, Feis Registrar
